# Namespaces

> Configure Kubernetes namespaces in Chronosphere Telemetry Pipeline.

By default, Telemetry Pipeline creates its resources in the `calyptia`
[namespace](https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/overview/working-with-objects/namespaces/).

You can use the `--kube-namespace` flag to set a different namespace when you
[install](/ingest/pipeline/v2/install/install-operator) or [upgrade](/ingest/pipeline/v2/install/upgrade)
Telemetry Pipeline. However, like other types of Kubernetes CRDs,
[Core Operator](/ingest/pipeline/v2/concepts#core-operator) CRDs don't support namespace scoping.
